This center originally started as a satellite office of Sophia Counseling Center. In 2009 it became Sophos Wellness Center, owned by parishioner Mary Goebel-Komala, Ph.D. Counseling and divorce mediation are available at Sophos Wellness Center, 500 N. Main St., Findlay, Ohio. Counseling is available for anxiety, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, divorce, recovery from trauma, adult Attention-Deficit Disorder, grief, and stress. Marital and family therapy are available. Assistance is available for children with behavior problems, depression, excessive worries or fears, Attention-Deficit Disorder, and academic problems.
Mediation is available for couples experiencing a divorce. Mediation is a way for divorcing couples to work out the details of parenting, division of property, and financial support in a way that minimizes their conflict. Mediation is cost effective. Both parties share the cost of one mediator. Parties use their own lawyers for brief consultations at periodic intervals during the course of the mediation. At the end of the mediation, each person's lawyer files the required paperwork.
