A Happy and Blessed Easter Season to All!

Easter is the oldest and most important feast in the Catholic Christian tradition --- all of our Gospels recount the story of the Paschal Mystery: the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus.

During this Easter season we celebrate the incredible act of unconditional love; hope in the new and eternal life; and faith that we are in God’s hands.

Jesus’ act of unconditional love --- dying on the cross for each of us --- redemption of our sins --- is the ultimate expression of “I love you.”   Through Good Friday, he challenges each of us to die to self and to be born anew with our own love of God and neighbor.

His resurrection gives us a new taste of the future --- our hope is beyond hope, as we find the empty tomb and learn what it means for us.  To know that Christ is alive and living in our community gives us purpose to live our faith.

This faith in God is firm and strong because we have witnessed over the years the many ways in which God holds us in his hands.  His divine providence is all that we need.

God Bless,

Father Mike
