end of life

A Funeral Mass at St. Michael's is focused on providing comfort and courage for those among us who are mourning the death of a loved one. They will find consolation and strength in the mass, as it is a celebration of life, offering praise, worship, and thanksgiving to God. There is hope in eternal life, for the deceased has been given back to God.

Our priests and staff of St. Michael the Archangel Parish are available to walk your family through the planning of a Funeral Mass or service. We recognize this is a sensitive time and want to be of service during your time of need. A priest and a member of Liturgical staff will meet with your family, explain the options, and help you choose readings, prepare petitions and discuss music selections.

St. Michael the Archangel Parish works very closely with all of the local funeral homes. Once your family contacts the funeral home of your choice, the funeral director will guide you through the process of planning the visitation, which can include a Rosary or Scripture Service, casket closing prayers, and scheduling the funeral and burial.

After your meeting with the funeral home, you can expect a telephone call from a priest of our parish to schedule a time to plan the Funeral Mass or service.

For more information about pre-planning your Funeral Mass or service, please contact the Parish Office 419.422.2646.
